What is a Trophy Album and how do I create one??
A trophy album is a photo album for a buck that contains its photos, score, measurements, location of harvest and story behind the hunt! Once you have created the album, your buck will show up in our USA/Canada map, inside the State and County it was harvested in. Your album will also automatically show up on the front of your profile page as well. After creating the album, your buck can be found in the “Trophy Gallery” section of the site too!
*Note: the ONLY way for your buck to show up in the USA/Canada map or “Trophy Gallery” section is by creating a Trophy Album!
To create a Trophy Album click “Add Trophy Album” located beneath your profile picture. This will take you to a page where you will enter in your buck’s information! When you are done…click “upload a photo for this album” and load as many photos as you would like for your buck! Field and mounted photos are welcome! We would like for you to also fill out the taxidermist’s information or guide service if one was used!
I recently joined and it will not allow me to view my Inbox messages…why??
We are sorry for this inconvenience! However, until we can get that little glitch fixed…if you will log off, and log back on…you will be able to view your messages!!
I created a journal…why can’t I see it inside the Journal box??
Your own journals will not show up inside your journal box you see on the home page. The journals you create will only show up on your friend’s journal boxes.
*Note: ONLY your friends will see the journals you post...therefore, if you have something important to say that you would like for all MBP members to see…start friend requesting!!!!
How do I message someone or add a comment to their profile??
To send a PRIVATE message to a member, look beneath their profile picture and you will see a box. This box contains the link for “message me” and “add me as a friend”. Click the message link and this will take you to a screen to type your message!
Comments appear on a members profile page. To send a comment scroll to the bottom of a members profile page and in the bottom right corner you will see “add comment”. Click this to send a comment!
Can I put anything I want in my gallery??
YES!!!! Your gallery is for whatever you would like. However, we ask that you please refrain from any photos that contain nudity, violent or offensive material. If you violate this request your account will be deleted.
We also ask that when posting field photos please refrain from any photos containing too much blood…try and keep the photos as clean as possible please!
I am having trouble uploading photos…what should I do??
If you are having trouble uploading photos it is most likely due to the size of the photo. Try resizing your photos to 800x600 for best results!
How do I add a music playlist to my profile?
Want a playlist on your profile?! This is how to do it! First, go to www.playlist.com
. You will have to create an account but it is free…and very easy. Once you have done so, click “create playlist” and begin typing in each song you would like on your playlist, into the search box. The site will automatically create the playlist for you as you type in each song and click the + sign to add it to your list. After you are finished searching songs, click “post playlist” and you will be given 5 choices for codes. Click “get the code for MySpace”, since our site’s profile layout is similar to MySpace. The code will consist of a long paragraph of mixed up numbers and letters. COPY the code, and then beneath your profile picture on MBP click “edit profile”. If you have already pasted another code into one of the sections under edit profile…we would suggest you chose a section that you do not already have a code in. PASTE the playlist code into a blank section such as “music”. If you have filled in this section with information about yourself…paste the code beneath whatever you have written. Be sure and click “edit interests and personality” at the bottom of the page. After you have finished, click “view profile” beneath your profile picture and you should see your playlist on your page!
How do I add a background layout to my profile?
Time to pimp your page!! You may choose a wide variety of sites on the web for layouts but we are going to just use one for an example. First go to www.coolchaser.com
(or site of your choice). Some layout websites may require you to create an account for their site and most of those are free. There are plenty of free sites out there so if you arrive at one that requires payment we would suggest you keep searching! From here click “layouts” which will take you to the layouts search page. Type into the search box which type of layout you would like (ex: camoflague, Mossy Oak, Realtree, whitetail deer, hunting, etc.). Once you have chosen a layout you prefer, click “save my layout”. A code will be generated for your layout, which will consist of a long paragraph of mixed up numbers and letters. COPY the code, and then beneath your profile picture on MBP click “edit profile”. If you have already pasted another code into one of the sections under edit profile…we would suggest you chose a section that you do not already have a code in. PASTE the layout code into a blank section such as “about me”. If you have filled in this section with information about yourself…paste the code beneath whatever you have written. Be sure and click “edit interests and personality” at the bottom of the page. After you have finished, click “view profile” beneath your profile picture and you should see your layout on your page!
How to Become a MBP Pro-Staff Team?
In order to be considered for a possible Pro-Staff position, there must first and foremost be a Pro-Staff position available/open in that specific state of residence. Therefore, all possible candidates must reside geographically in an area where an open Pro-Staff position is available. If there is an opening in the state, MBP requires that there must be at least a minimum of four hunters/team members that make up the context of the group, and all members must be at least 20 years of age or older. Possible candidates must demonstrate professionalism, possess strong ethical standards, and dedicated to becoming an avid and well respected representative to the general public for Team MBP.
Each individual within that specific team that expresses an interest in becoming a Pro-Staffer must submit a brief bio letter about themselves, as well as a short description as to why he/she wants a Pro-Staff position. Note: We are not looking for a personal resume of any sorts. Tell us a little about yourself, and why you’re interested in becoming a Pro-Staffer for Monster Buck Profiles. Although it may not pertain to all possible candidates, MBP would also like for you to describe, if at any, previous Game Violations in the past. These violations will not solely determine our decisions. We will carefully factor in all the components of the criteria. If selected, MBP staff will contact you and your group members, to further organize and conduct a phone interview to go from there. Please submit all entries to johnlyn@monsterbuckprofiles.com.
