Welcome to Texas- Hi, my name is Keith Aikens from Fort Worth,TX and I am 25 years old. I am one of the five guys that make up Team Tejas. They are the best group of guys you could ever spend time and make memories with, and that goes for anywhere, not just the field! I am a hunter, plain and simple! I do not care if we are goin' cricket hunting, as long as I am off the couch and out hunting! When I was five or six, my step-dad started taking me hunting on the weekends. I was still too young to hold the gun, but I at least I got an early start on learning the way. I was too young to remember ,but he always tells the story about my first turkey hunt…the one when I jumped from behind the log and yelled “gobble, gobble, gobble” at the tom strutting fifteen yards from us. Luckily, he shot quickly, but it wouldn't have mattered to him if the turkey would have gotten away. It was the memory of a five year old jumping up and gobbling at the bird that made it memorable! There are many days that I hunt where I may not see a deer or even a songbird, but I will always cherish and enjoy the memories, friendships, and people who share it all with me! We work hard all year preparing and readying ourselves for the perfect shot on that monster buck, but in the end it seems the stories that stick around are the ones like the little boy jumping over the log to gobble at the turkey! I bet Mark couldn't tell you the size of the beard on that turkey, but he could probably tell you what I was wearing running across that field chasing that bird! No matter how many hunts I would mess up or how many times he had to show me something he never got angry with me. If I had one thing to say to every hunter in the world it would be, “just simply have fun!”. The Lord put us here on a time-clock and our time will end someday. So use your time trying as hard as you can, helping people and enjoying what he has given us! When I turned twenty-two, I hit a transition period in my hunting life and that transition was to take people hunting and show them what I have seen. Now, I usually get a bigger rush watching others shoot their first animal rather than myself hunting for my next trophy! I am very grateful to be able to enjoy the outdoors with all of you! I catch myself in deer stand at sunset praying for it to never end. Hopefully, if the Lord and I stay “homies”, we can do this forever! Thanks to everyone for their endless support. We love you all and can't wait to start showing the world and MBP a different side to hunting! Keith Aikens - TT

My name is Adrian McKinney. I am 27 years old from Springtown, Texas. I am married to my beautiful wife Gloria. I am one of the five representatives for Team Tejas. I went to Ranger College on a baseball scholarship where I majored in Business Management. After my college career, I started a plumbing company in Fort Worth, Texas. Workign is fine and dandy, but hunting is my life. If I could, I would live in the woods for the rest of my life and hunt monster, whitetail deer. When I am not hunting I am riding horses. I am an avid team roper, and every now and then I get lucky and win some extra spending money. Some days I just feel like going to the back country where I can ride for days and not see a single soul. I also have three beautiful labs, two yellow labs and one chocolate lab. They live to hunt ducks. When the cold weather blows in that first morning, I wake up and before the sun rises "Higgins", my chocolate lab, just knows this is the morning he has waited the whole year. Once he sees his neoprene dog vest he knows that the game’s on. He just can't wait to jump into 40 degree water and feel feathers in his mouth. If he had a driver's license and a duck stamp, he would probably go without me. I am excited about the team’s future hunting seasons and the opportunity with Monster Buck Profiles. I appreciate everything that the site brings to the hunter!

Hi, my name is Eric Pomeroy and I am a proud part of Team Tejas! I was born in Fort Worth, Texas and still reside here today. My parents and I moved to Michigan when I was three to be closer to my dad's family. Growing up, I couldn't even walk through our living room without getting an antler stuck in my eye because there were so many mounts in the house! My dad hunted all over the United States, so naturally I wanted to be just like him. When my dad asked me to go hunting back in the day, they said I would just shake with excitement! So as you can see, I have hunting in my blood. When I was ten years old my parents got a divorce and my mom moved me back to Texas. It was then when I met Adrian, Keith, Billy, and Ryan. From that moment, it was on! We would do anything and everything to be out hunting and sharing good times. I would take bullet for these guys, well as long as they let me shoot the biggest deer!

I am the elder statesman of Team Tejas and posses the same crazy passion for hunting each fall as my partners in crime! My Father is still to this day my favorite hunting buddy but as soon as my 5 year old daughter gets older I may have 2 favorites. At 34 years of age I have successfully harvested 14 different North American Big Game Species including many records book animals from Alaska & Canada through the Continental 48 and Old MEXICO. I simply live by a few rules - "LIFE WITHOUT ADVENTURE IS NO LIFE AT ALL" and "LIFE IS ABOUT MAKING THE THINGS YOU DREAM ABOUT DOING INTO THE THING YOU HAVE DONE" I may not take an animal on every hunt I go on but I can assure you when it is all over I can say it was truly an adventure and always makes great video.
I hunt almost exclusively with a muzzleloader and occasionally with my bow. I had rifle hunted the first 10 years of my hunting career but changed to more limited range weapons after I harvested a bedded Dall sheep at 413 yards, a bedded Coues deer at 318 yards, and a running Dall sheep at 351 yards - I simply wanted to spend more time stalking and outwitting the animals and felt I needed less of an advantage and more of a challenge.
I am the owner and artist of ANTLER PICASSO Custom Antler Lighting & Furniture. It is the perfect career for me because I get plenty of time for hunting seasons and I never stop playing with antlers. Every piece I make starts out a box of shed antlers and ends up a masterpiece. I left a 15yr career as a sales manager, trainer, recruiter, and motivational speaker because I wanted to have more time with my family and in the outdoors. I look forward to the opportunity to bring more adventures to MBP and TEAM TEJAS' as a PRO STAFFER!
